privacy policy

Last updated: 23 JUNE 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UNKNW LTD (“UNKNW”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal data when you visit our website, register for one of our sessions or events, or otherwise interact with us.

We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) where it applies to you, and applicable United States privacy.

1.Who we are

Data controller: UNKNW LTD
Registered office: 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom
Company number: 14556053
Contact for privacy matters: make@unknw.com

We are the controller responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is processed in connection with this website and our sessions.

2.Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to visitors and registrants located in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States, and elsewhere. Where local law gives you additional rights, those rights are described in Section 9 (UK/EU) and Section 10 (United States).

3.The personal data we collect

Data you give us. When you register for a session or contact us, we collect the information you submit, which may include your name, email address, and — where you choose to provide them — your professional role, phone number, and any question or message you send us.

Data we collect automatically. When you use the website we automatically collect technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies, such as your device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, and how you interact with the site.

Data from third parties.If you reached us through a link shared by one of our event partners, we may receive limited information indicating that you arrived via that partner. We do not receive the partner's contact lists; we collect your registration details directly from you.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health, race, or political opinions) and ask that you do not submit such data to us.

4.How and why we use your personal data, and our legal bases

We only use your personal data where the law allows us to. The legal bases we rely on are:

  • To register you and deliver the session you signed up for — including sending you the joining link, reminders, and the recording. Legal basis: performance of a contract / steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in delivering the service you requested.
  • To respond to your questions and provide support. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • To send you marketing communications about our future sessions, products, and offers — only where you have given us your consent to do so. Legal basis: consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 9).
  • To operate analytics and advertising technologies that help us understand and improve the website and measure our campaigns. Legal basis: your consent, given through our cookie banner.
  • To keep records and comply with our legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
  • To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect the security of our site and business. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our rights and our systems.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced those interests against your rights and are satisfied they do not override your interests. You can ask us for more detail on this assessment.

5.Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our website.

6.Who we share your personal data with

We do not sell your personal data for money. We share it only in the following ways:

  • Service providers (processors) acting on our instructions — for example, providers of website hosting, email delivery, customer-relationship and registration tools, analytics, and advertising platforms. These providers may only process your data on our instructions and under a written contract.
  • Professional advisers — such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors, where necessary.
  • Authorities and other third parties — where we are required to disclose data by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • In a business transaction — if we reorganise, merge, or sell part of our business, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties for their own marketing without your consent.

7.International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom and some of our service providers are located outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where we transfer your personal data outside the UK/EEA, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK and EU data protection law — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or a finding of adequacy (including, where applicable, the EU-US / UK-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified). You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguard.

8.How long we keep your personal data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy:

  • Registration and session data: for the duration of the event and for up to 24 months afterwards, to provide the recording and follow-up, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, and for a short period afterwards to record that you opted out.
  • Records required by law (e.g. tax and accounting): for the period required by applicable law.

9.Your rights (UK and EEA)

If you are in the UK or the EEA, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
  • request restriction of our processing in certain circumstances;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to object at any time to direct marketing;
  • request portability of data you provided to us;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent (this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at make@unknw.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law and will not charge you unless your request is unfounded or excessive.

10.Your rights (United States)

If you are resident in the United States, your state's law may give you rights over your personal data — including the right to know what data we collect, to request access to it, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your data. We do not sell your data for money; our use of advertising and analytics cookies may be considered a “sharing” of personal data under some state laws. You can opt out by switching off advertising and analytics cookies in the preferences on our website. For any request, contact us at make@unknw.com.

11.Children

Our website and sessions are intended for professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16 (or under 18 where required by local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12.Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

13.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.

14.How to contact us
